Get a fresh edge to your property with a new uPVC Roofline

Replacing your old fascia, soffits and guttering has more benefits than just a fresh new look.

The Complete Roofline Solution

At R&R Fascias, we have been installing and replacing uPVC rooflines around Cornwall since 2007.
The roofline is a collective name for of the exterior edging elements at the base of your roof. Namely the fascia board, soffit and bargeboards. Normally this would include replacing and re-aligning the guttering.
As well as having an aesthetic benefit in making your house look cleaner and newer, there is a protective benefit as well. uPVC fascias, soffits and bargeboards protect your roof and add ventilation to your loft to prevent the build up of damp in there.
We will remove and dispose of your old fascia, soffits and guttering and can install new uPVC products onto any type of property, whether new or old, commercial or residential.

Fascia Boards

The fascia board fixes to the rafter ends and supports the guttering. It is the front facing part of the roofline.
Older fascias were traditionally made of wood but over time they would deteriorate due to exposure to the weather.
In Cornwall, that is more of a problem with our damp salty air.

A fascia board has 2 main purposes.

  • To protect the rafter ends from exposure to the weather.
  • To support and fix the guttering to.

Soffit Boards

The soffit covers the rafters underneath. It is the underside facing part of the roofline.
The soffit can be fitted with a vent along it's length. This allows for airflow in the loft space which prevents damp build up and helps to regulate the temperature.
The soffit has 2 main benefits:

  • To protect the underside of the rafter ends from exposure to the weather.
  • To allow ventilation into the loft space.
  • (ANY MORE ROB?)

Guttering

Replacement guttering is often installed when replacing the fascia and soffits of a house. Over time, gutters can get clogged with leaves and dirt washed from the roof which makes them become heavy and start to bow in the wrong place. This leads to the gutter not draining properly and the result is water pouring over the side in the wrong place.
It's always worth replacing your guttering if you are replacing the boards behind it.
